Our Anaesthetic Practice of 24 Associates has utilised the MBS billing programme since November 2005. We have always been impressed with the functionality and ease of use of the system however we were very excited about the new Platinum upgrade. The conversion of our billing data was well executed, and completed over a weekend. All checks and balances were accurate and the staff were able to start work almost immediately. The transition for staff was easy, with minimal disruption to the processing of accounts.
Our booking process for theatre lists has been paper based since the beginning of time. On advice that the new Platinum system would include an integrated diary system we delayed moving to an electronic version until now. The Platinum diary is functional, easy to use, loaded with features and is totally integrated with the Platinum billing programme. Again the transition from paper to computer has been exceptionally easy.

Any new programme inevitably has minor issues and every single one that we have encountered has been dealt with quickly and efficiently. Urgent issues have been dealt with immediately and requests for personalised enhancements to processes or reports have always been met with enthusiasm and are usually in place via an overnight update.
The move to MBS Platinum resulted in limited disruption and the staff are extremely happy with the enhanced functionality and integrated diary and billing programmes. We look forward to taking up the “in-theatre” module in the near future.

Pulse Anaesthetics has been using Medical Business Systems since 2009. We did experiment with another billing software but quickly established the functions MBS offered were much more superior. When we returned to MBS we upgraded to MBS Platinum and are utilising all modules: Billing, Diary and In-Theatre/Remote Access.
Prior to using the in-built diary system we were using outlook calendars and were constantly having issues with deleted lists, incorrect and missing information, not to mention moving between two programmes was very time consuming and difficult for our staff. Mark and his staff made the transition over to the diary module a seamless process and have been phenomenal with offering endless training and support.
Using the diary module we now have access to patient information, theatre lists, patient notes and quotes all in the one area.
Mark assisted me in setting up an automated SMS that is sent to patients with outstanding invoices. The effectiveness of this feature is remarkable as patients phone within minutes of receiving an SMS to finalise their invoices. The integrated SMS and Email function reduced overall costs within the business, saving us money on printing, paper, postage, and envelopes.
Mark has an outstanding team working for him who offer our organisation endless support and training. Any reasonable enhancements we have requested have all been met and usually the upgrade is put in to place within a few days. Any little “bugs’ we might find are all fixed in an upgrade overnight.
The doctors using the In-Theatre billing module are finding the process easy and enjoy that their invoices are sent quicker than with billing cards. MBS has definitely been excellent for our company.
