Mark Laforest, Founder and Managing Director at Medical Business Systems said:
“Today is a significant milestone for Medical Business Systems and I am ambitious about our future. The investment by Clanwilliam Group enables us to grow and evolve the company, our proposition and all of our services for the benefit of our customers.
“For our doctors and practice managers, it will be business as usual as we continue to offer the same quality service delivered by our driven and dedicated staff. However, we will now benefit from the additional resource and expertise that a larger Group has to offer, ensuring we can continue to be innovative and consistently ahead of the game within our market place, both in Australia and further afield.
“We are excited about the opportunities we have across the other Group businesses, particularly within practice management, and look forward to working with this expanded network going forward.”
Medical Business Systems joins other well-known healthcare brands and businesses within the Clanwilliam Group, including Helix Health (RxWeb), Professional Medical Management Services Ltd., Bluespier International and DGL Practice Manager. All businesses remain independently committed to the ongoing development of their respective flagship products while making use of the collaborations that emerge from shared knowledge and expertise.
Howard Beggs, Group CEO, Clanwilliam Group said:
“Our investment strategy is finding businesses we can partner with to deliver lasting growth, healthcare transformation and better care for patients. The synergy with Medical Business Systems was clear from the outset, with both companies passionate about driving efficiencies and quality in healthcare through innovative, best of breed software.
“Medical Business Systems can now draw on the resources and expertise of the wider Group as it focuses on the future. The staff are a huge part of the success of Medical Business Systems and, under the continued leadership of founder and Managing Director, Mark Laforest, will continue to drive the company forward with vision, passion and enthusiasm.”
